<p>The Four Mile Trail features remarkable, panoramic views of Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, Sentinel Rock, Half Dome, and Tenaya Canyon. This steep trail is challenging, all-day hike. The Four Mile Trail leads to Glacier Point, where restrooms and a snack stand are available in summer only.<br /> <br /> Roadside parking at the trailhead is extremely limited. When parking is full, use the free valleywide shuttle to access the trailhead.<br /> <br /> <strong>There is NO shuttle service available to transport hikers from Glacier Point back to Yosemite Valley. Check water availability before you go.</li> </ul> <h2>Seasonal Information</h2> <p>The Four Mile Trail is open seasonally. It typically opens sometime in May and closes below Union Point after significant snow accumulation (usually by November or December). The entire trail typically closes in winter. When partially closed, only the lower three miles (5 km) are open to the gate below Union Point. This lower section is very icy and slippery during winter and early spring.
