Thunderbird Resort

Thunderbird Resort is a family-owned operation since 1931 located at the junction of State Route 9 and Highway 89 in Mt. Carmel Junction, Utah. The property includes the Best Western East Zion Thunderbird Lodge, Thunderbird Restaurant, Thunderbird Golf Course, Thunderbird RV Park, and East Zion Adventures. The restaurant serves classic American meals, fresh-baked bread, vegetarian options, and Utah's famous "Ho-Made Pies," open Thursday–Monday 7 AM–10 PM and Tuesday–Wednesday 7 AM–2:30 PM. The 9-hole golf course, established in 1962, is the only course within 60+ miles and offers rates from $15–$38 depending on walking or cart play. East Zion Adventures provides jeep tours, guided hiking, horseback riding, and canyoneering in and around Mt. Carmel Junction and East Zion. The lodge sits midway between Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon, with amenities including free wifi, swimming pool, and outdoor hot tub.
