Shakespeare Ghost Town is a National Historic Site in southwestern New Mexico where visitors walk streets once traveled by Billy the Kid, John Ringo, Curley Bill, and other Old West figures. Guided tours, offered daily at 10am, 12pm, and 3pm MT, include the interiors of eight buildings and stories of the town's silver mining era and Butterfield Trail history. The Hill family has preserved the site since the 1930s. Tours must be scheduled in advance by calling 575-542-9034 or emailing visit@shakespeareghostown.com. Admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children ages 6–12.
