Frequently asked questions

What are your hours and when are you open?

Outdoor Adventure Rafting is open 7 AM–8 PM, 7 days a week, from March through October.

Do I need experience to go rafting?

No experience is required; all trips are beginner-friendly with professional guides who provide full safety instructions before starting.

Can non-swimmers go rafting?

Yes, non-swimmers are welcome on all rafting trips. You must wear a life jacket (PFD) at all times.

What's the difference between tubing and the lower raft trip?

Both float the same lower Ocoee section for ~1.5 hours on Class I–II water. Tubing has each guest in a personal tube with a guide in a kayak, while the raft trip has everyone together in a large inflatable raft with room for snacks, drinks, and music.

What should I wear for rafting?

Wear quick-drying, comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet, such as swimwear or synthetic fabrics (avoid cotton). Bring secure shoes like water shoes or strapped sandals, sunscreen, and sunglasses with a strap. In cooler weather, consider a wetsuit or splash jacket.

What if I need to cancel my trip?

If you cancel two or more weeks out, you receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 24 hours out, you get 100% trip vouchers good for 2 seasons with no questions asked. No-shows receive no refund or vouchers.

Do you have lodging available?

Yes, we offer bunkhouse cabins sleeping 16–32 guests with firepits, grills, and kitchenettes, plus tent campsites in a private forested campground with riverside views and fishing access.

Are pets allowed?

Any pet is welcome on the property. Pets are not allowed in bunkhouses, but dogs are welcome in the campground. Owners are responsible for their pets at all times and must pick up after them.
