About Stonehaven
Stonehaven is a ghost town in the Town of Belgium, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. For roughly a quarter century starting in 1901, it functioned as a company town tied to the Lake Shore Stone Company, which ran a 25-acre dolomite quarry in the area close to Lake Michigan's western shore. Operations ceased and the community dissolved by 1925.
The land where Stonehaven once stood is now encompassed by Harrington Beach State Park, which gives visitors a way to access and explore the historic site within a managed natural setting.
