About Schell
Schell is a ghost town straddling the border of Garrett County, Maryland and Mineral County, West Virginia. Once a recognized community, it has since become extinct, leaving little trace of its former existence.
Visitors exploring the area will find a quiet, rural setting typical of this part of the mid-Atlantic region. Given how thoroughly the settlement has disappeared, the experience is more about atmosphere and curiosity than any substantial physical remains.
