About Peason
Peason is a sawmill ghost town and small community sitting along Louisiana Highway 118 in Sabine Parish, roughly 8.7 miles east of Hornbeck and the nearby ghost town of Sandel. Its identity is rooted in the sawmill industry that once drove activity here.
Visitors today will find little of the former settlement remaining. Like many Louisiana sawmill ghost towns, Peason is a quiet roadside spot where the industrial past has largely faded into the surrounding landscape.
