About Millsdale
Millsdale is a long-abandoned village in Channahon Township, Will County, Illinois. Once a small but established community, it counted 25 residents in 1903 and still held 20 by 1946. The Santa Fe Railway served the settlement through Millsdale Station, connecting it to the broader regional rail network.
Today Millsdale survives as little more than a historical footnote. Visitors drawn to Illinois ghost towns may find the setting of interest for photography, though the sparse documented record suggests very little physical infrastructure remains. The area's flat Illinois terrain is accessible in fair weather, with winter conditions potentially making rural access roads less hospitable.
