About Manson
Manson is a ghost town in Oneida County, Wisconsin, situated along the shore of Manson Lake in the town of Woodboro. It once occupied a spot along what is now US 8 and the Canadian National Railway, roughly 3 miles northeast of Heafford Junction. The town appeared on USGS maps as recently as 1939, after which it faded from official record.
Visitors today will find little more than a lakeside setting accessible via a well-traveled highway corridor. No structures or documented remains are referenced, and the site is best approached as a piece of regional history worth noting on a scenic drive through Oneida County.
