Friend

Friend is a ghost town in Wasco County, Oregon, where very little has survived the passage of time. What remains on the ground today amounts to three landmarks: a general store known as the Friend Store, a one-room schoolhouse, and a cemetery — quiet remnants of a community that once existed here.

Visitors come primarily to take in the sparse historic character of the site and photograph what endures. Given how little remains, a stop here is best treated as a brief detour rather than a destination in its own right.
