Endee

Endee is a ghost town in Quay County, New Mexico, with roots going back to around 1885. Its name traces directly to the ND Ranch, whose brand inspired the phonetic spelling. For nearly seven decades, a post office served the community, operating from 1886 until 1955.

The town's decline accelerated in 1952 when Route 66 was realigned to bypass Endee entirely, cutting off the traffic that small roadside settlements depended on. What had once been a stop along one of America's most iconic highways was left off the map almost overnight.

Visitors today will find little more than remnants of a forgotten roadside community set against the open Quay County landscape. It holds appeal mainly for Route 66 enthusiasts and history-minded travelers curious about the towns the highway left behind.
