About Bayne

Bayne is a former unincorporated community in King County, Washington, that once operated as a coal mining town. When the mine closed around 1950, residents left and the settlement was gradually abandoned.

Very little documented detail exists about what physical remains survive today, so visitors should approach with modest expectations. The site is best suited to those with an interest in industrial or local history rather than dramatic ruins.
