About Barro

Barro is a ghost town and railroad siding in Tooele County, Utah, situated in the Great Salt Lake Desert. It sits along the Central Corridor Union Pacific Railroad line and the Wendover Cut-off, just south of Interstate 80.

The setting is remote and stark, and visitors will find little more than the open desert landscape and the railroad infrastructure that defined the site's existence. The Great Salt Lake Desert surrounds the area, making it a harsh, flat, and exposed environment year-round.
