About Bagdad
Bagdad is a ghost town in northern Forest County, Wisconsin, remembered today as a former settlement and railroad stop. Little documentation survives about its origins or the circumstances of its decline.
Visitors will find little on the ground to mark the site. As with many such places in Wisconsin's northwoods, the landscape has largely reclaimed whatever once stood here. The area is worth a look for those with a keen interest in rural history and forgotten rail corridors, but expectations should be modest.
