What this connector does
Roamze is an outdoor adventure planning platform — tens of thousands of trails, campgrounds, and recreation sites, plus gear and meal planning built for real trips. The Roamze connector hands that same catalog to Claude, so instead of switching to another tab you can just ask.
Once it’s connected, Claude can answer questions like “find me a moderate hike near Buena Vista under six miles”, “what’s the forecast at that trailhead this weekend?”, or “build me a packing list and three dinners for two nights out.” Claude decides when to reach for Roamze; you just talk normally.

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector, paste the URL, and save.
Approve on Roamze
Claude sends you to roamze.com to sign in and approve — one screen showing exactly what the connector can read. Claude never sees your password. Approve it, start a new conversation, and Roamze’s tools are there. Disconnect any time from Claude.
What Claude can read
These are the only four kinds of information the connector can reach. Every one of them is data that is already public on roamze.com or published by a government agency.

Public Roamze listings — names, locations, distance, elevation, difficulty, seasonality, and descriptions. The same pages anyone can browse on roamze.com.

What it cannot do
This first version of the connector is deliberately narrow, and the limits below are structural — not settings you have to configure.
- It reads only public data. Everything it can return is already publicly visible on roamze.com or published by a public agency. It cannot see private or unpublished Roamze content.
- It cannot read other people’s accounts.It has no way to look up someone else’s profile, trips, or saved lists. The only private thing it can read is your own gear closet, so packing lists start from what you already own.
- It writes only what you approve, and only trips.If you grant the “create trips” permission on the consent screen, Claude can create a trip in your account when you ask. It cannot edit or delete anything, post a review, or touch a listing — and if you never grant that permission, it cannot write at all.
Authorizing the connector links it to your Roamze account so we can apply a per-account daily limit on the AI planning tools — that is what the sign-in is for. Our Privacy Policy covers how Roamze handles data generally.
If something looks wrong
Trail data comes from a mix of public sources and can be incomplete or out of date, and Claude can misread it. Check conditions, closures, and permits with the managing agency before you head out. If a Roamze listing looks wrong, tell us at support@roamze.com.
